Although actually, per this event I went to the other week out of a sense of morbid curiosity about THE NEW SEXY LITERATI, what the new hotness actually is is apparently watching a bunch of relatively-recent Oxbridge graduates and new-wave influencers read fragments of their execrable first novels to an audience of floppy-haired, ruddy-cheeked contemporaries, which basically feels quite a lot like how a certain corner of publishing has always worked. Anyway, my bitter, unpublishable muttering to one side, READING IS COOL YEAH?
