Another thought about why I’m doing this walk is clarifying itself in my head. When people ask “what do you do?” I don’t want my answer to be contaminated by money.

We become what we do. We’re subsumed by it. Where we direct our energy, we go. What we give ourselves to matters. So when that question comes around I want my answer to reflect a life’s energy directed at the things that nourish me and the people I love, rather than those that deplete the soul and the earth.
