The order of nations, or my route from here to there, England to India.

  1. Leaving England
    • Another trip down the Bristol to Bath cycle way
    • Kennet & Avon Canal looks appealing for another 80 miles or so.
    • From there it’s into the vicinity of London, but not really, ducking south and heading straight for Dover and off this bustling rock.

Schengen Zone

  1. France
  2. Switzerland

    • Via Dinarica (1200km) begins
    • I’d like to see Mount Triglav
  8. Croatia
    • as of January Croatia is now part of the Schengen area.

The Balkans

  3. Albania — Via Dinarica ends
  4. North Macedonia
  5. Serbia
  6. Kosovo — transiting Kosovo only from within Serbia to minimise trouble
  7. Hungary — only if there is still time left on my 90 days in Schengen
  8. Romania — Via Transilvanica, 1400km trail
  9. Moldova
  10. Bulgaria (via south-east of Romania)
  11. Turkey — Sufi Trail (inland) OR Lycian Way (south coast)?
