A powerful way to improve the Web platform is to provide new primitives. A
primitive is a capability that, on its own, likely doesn’t do much that
interesting. But a good primitive will be designed to interact usefully with
existing (and future) parts of the stack, and this will enable it to enrich
the platform across the board.
