I love this. Alex Hope knows how to weave a good story.
This is good storytelling. True, but not pathologically true, not
boringly true, the right amount of true but with copious embellishments and
omissions ie, the craft of storytelling.
I aspire to write something as entertaining as this, something that can raise a
laugh in the reader as the above did for me.
